Sue Sawyer-Vasquez has lived in Connecticut her entire life and she has worked as a thriving business woman since the 1980’s. She grew up in Harwinton and got her first taste of Real Estate when she went to work in Hartford for a multi-billion dollar company, Olympia & York Properties. Olympia & York Properties developed, owned and managed office buildings all over the world, including two high rise office buildings in Hartford, One Corporate Center and One Commercial Plaza. Sue excelled at Olympia & York as Building Secretary for over 10 years. Sue left Olympia & York to become a full time mom and moved with her family to Torrington in 1998. It was then that she opened her own state licensed child care business. Sue continued to operate her successful business until its closing in 2020. In addition to her challenging work as a business owner and mom to three amazing kids, Sue has been a substitute paraprofessional for Torrington Elementary Schools and an Area Coordinator for Providers Nutrition Network which sponsors the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program.
In 2018, Sue decided to return to her first career and passion, the Real Estate business. She attained her CT Real Estate Salesperson License and hit the ground running, continuously being one of Turning Point Realty’s top producers and also she serves as Turning Point Realty’s Transaction Manager.
